Petition Vote
📅 Background
On June 9, 2025, the Regency HOA Board voted to adopt new governing rules. Three key documents were created or updated:
Committee Guidelines
Rules of Conduct
Guest Policy
Copies of these documents are available through the HOA, and residents are encouraged to review them closely.
📌 What Changed?
1. Committee Guidelines
Committees are no longer required to hold open meetings for residents to provide input or participate in discussions.
➡️ Impact: Committees may operate behind closed doors, limiting transparency and homeowner involvement.
2. Rules of Conduct
The new rules give the HOA Board authority to restrict resident input at open board meetings.
➡️ Impact: Homeowners may find fewer opportunities to voice concerns or ask questions directly to the board.
3. Guest Policy
The updated guest rules are especially significant:
Up to 10 guests per resident may use HOA facilities.
No clear restrictions on pool activities (e.g., running, bringing balls, or using flotation devices).
Swim lessons for non-residents are permitted.
No guest check-in requirements are in place.
➡️ Impact: The facilities may experience overcrowding, safety issues, and increased wear and tear, with little oversight.
⚠️ Why This Matters
These changes alter how our community is governed, how our voices are heard, and how our shared amenities are protected. Whether you agree with the direction or not, understanding these policies is essential for all Regency residents.
